HELP: I'm a first time mom so bare with me. I put my baby girl down and I looked at her feet and they were purple... she's breathing fine and all. as soon as I picked her back up it went away. (note this isn't a first it happened when we were out but I don't think they were cold) her feet were Cold to the touch this time. Why does her feet turn purple!?!

Both my boys did that. They can't circulate body heat like older babies can so infants hands and feet will get really purple. Socks and hand mittens will keep LOs hands and feet warm.

My sons feet would turn purple all the time and it freaked me out. I just rubbed them and it would go away and then come back. Try to keep warm socks on and move her legs frequently. My son is 7 months now and it has gone away. My pediatrician said it was normal
their feet and hands get really cold. don't worry about it, just try to keep them covered with socks or a blanket or something.
Babies can't control their temperature yet. It's normal. Just check to be sure the diaper isn't on too tight. And keep socks on. Their circulatory system is still new and the purple will fade over time.
Baby's have poor circulation!! My sons still do that and he's almost three months! I wouldn't worry about it too much but always check with the doc!
are her socks tight? I know when something starts to turn purple/blue it usually means there's no circulation. but also ask her doctor to check her iron levels because she could just be cold.
Umm that's a new one...maybe their cold? Try putting socks on? Or you might want to call her pediatrician
