Ladies... My baby will be 5 months on the 11th. When will it be ok to feed him baby food? He can sit up and is able to hold his head good. I'm just afraid to start too soon. Any suggestions, if so what brand should I buy?
You honestly don't even need a baby bullet , I got it from my shower , but I would have just used a food processor or blender , but for example I did boiled two sweet potatoes on the stove , used the water from the pan to make 8oz of formula and blended it up and I put half in the freezer , half in very small individual containers in the fridge , I ised the water from the pan because when I boiled the sweet potatoes all the nutrients went into the water so that's why I used that water to make milk , or mixed that water with the formula to put it in the blender , but it has lasted almost two weeks , it's definitely worth make it yourself 😊
@casslovepink, yes girly he's deff ready... I've been debating to do it myself or buy it.... I've seen the baby bullet. Do you make a meal at a time or a bunch and freeze it?
My daughter is almost 4 months and I just gave her baby food , I made it myself with the baby bullet , but if your son is showing an interest in your food when you eat around him , feed him , baby food of course , also if you feel he isn't getting full from BM or formula , you could feed him , they say to start off with sweet potatoes , avocado , pears or banana , do one food for 4 days until switching to another to make sure he's not allergic , then try another for 4 days , I'd start with veggies first only because once he tastes fruit , that's sweet mostly likely he won't eat veggies , but you'll know when to feed him when your ready and when he's ready ! Enjoy these little moments , seems like time flys !
Don't always trust the Internet. Trust your mommy instinct. If you feel like your baby is ready then go ahead and start him on some baby food and baby cereal. If not just wait it out a little longer.
Lol my nephew is almost 6 months and my sister hasn't started introducing anything but he gets sick on his milk/formula so I feel like he needs to start on some foods. But he's not my child lol
I did Gerber with my daughter around that age. Started with bananas and sweet potatoes. On the jars they say if it's for a supported stouter or a sitter or crawler
