Any other mom's read this article on babycenter? As a mommy to be with asthma I'd totally lose my shit if this happened to me! I want to know what inhaler she used because I have an inhaler that I'm supposed to take everyday (and stopped taking (without doctors discretion) once I found out I was pregnant) and I have a rescue inhaler and I have a nebulizer machine as well if my inhalers fail me. I get the hospital's procedure, but they could've looked at her records to see if there's anything that could've caused this. @jc100495, technically even if the doctors were given a list of things that could cause a positive drug screen cps would have to get involved because some people lie about drug use unfortunately. the person would just have to get further testing to prove that he/she didn't actually take illegal drugs

I couldn't figure out how it could have happened, I never even drank coffee. it definitely killed some of the joy in those first moments that I deserved. plus it just made me feel like, God all these people think I'm on meth!
@momof5222, really?! I'm so sorry that had to happen to you I can't even begin to imagine how you felt. I don't get why these things aren't made known to the doctors and nurses on duty so that they can act accordingly and not treat innocent people like criminals and addicts. The doctors and nurses that work in my hospital are rude enough in the ER and some other units even when you're an innocent person, so I can only imagine how they act in a situation like that in the labor and delivery unit.
this happened to me but it was a heartburn medication prescribed. I still had to deal with cps
