Okay Mommas I need your thoughts on something! My sons father and I broke up a few weeks into my pregnancy. He and his girlfriend come to my house every other weekend for eight hours, four a day. His father does not take him but if he wants to take him to the park he just needs to ask and I will drive them, it's like five minutes away and he does know he can ask to do that. In two years he has maybe taken him to the park three times. And my son has maybe seen his fathers family teo or three times because he never talks about me bringing my son to his house or his family. His mom lives maybe ten minutes away and she has only semen my son three times in two years and one of those times she called me about visiting. When his father and girlfriend come to visit they don't do anything with him. They will sit on the floor with him and his father ticks him off because he doesn't let him play with his toys the way he wants to. He does however like the girlfriend more than his father but that's because she talks to him and let's him play his own way. Usually my son comes out to me or finds me because he doesn't want to play or do anything with them. His father hasn't changed a diaper since he was a few months old and if she tries my son just runs away, screams and cries. When I do take him to his fathers house they don't offer/give him lunch or a snack. And it seems recently that they are buying his love with toys and other things but don't want to spend time with him. I don't trust they will take care of him. my son is still not sleeping through the night and sometimes sleep walks/night terrors I feel like him being away from his home would make everything worse. Some nights it takes me 10-20 minutes to wake or calm him down so I can't imagine them doing that since they don't comfort him when they are visiting.

We don't have anything through the courts but he does pay $140 child support every other week when he comes. Am I being unreasonable to not let him take my son and that he is still only visiting eight hours?
