OK so I told you guys my daughter has speech, her speech has been improving drastically since she's been in school. She is saying letter after letter fluently and clearly in school. Now they trying to have her start spelling soon.
When this little girl get home to practice with me, its like she completely shuts down and everything is a joke. Call me old school or the "not fair", "not nice" parent but to me if you can sing a song and saying things when u want to, there's no reason you should have a big problem with hw.
I have her stand in the corner with the letters taped to the wall, saying them for 5 mins straight then she comes back and do with me. She start playing around, we do it again.
I get frustrated and see myself always ready to pop her hands and I'm not having it anymore. So this is my solution. Slowly but surely she's learning to quit playing with school work.

Its frustrating but although my daughter may not like it, This tactic I'm using now actually works. She came back after two times saying all the letters back to back, over n over with no problem. @rebecca4687

my daughter is the same was she has speech delay and global delay and homework is a nightmare. she knows the work but doesn't want to do it when she gets home. I get frustrated then my husband has to take over.
