so ive been having trouble breast feeding my daughter 😢 my nipples dnt stay hard so she cant latch on 😩 i bought something called latch assist thought it would work but doesnt 😖 idk what else to do... guess i just cant breastfeed and that makes me really emotional 😞
You could also try holding your baby skin to skin when you pump. The produces the hormone that trigger the let down reflex. Even if you have to supplement with formula keep offering the breast first. You can do it! But do t feel like you failed or like you're less of a mother of you can't do it. Fed is best doesn't matter how. And the fact that you're trying is great!
They say it gets easier month two! I am sure you can stick in there and I am sorry its so hard on you. Sometimes with pumping you can try pumping a bunch of times for only five or less minute at a time!
i have been stressing ): just wish it was easy and i dnt make enough milk when i pump i only get 1 oz -.- ive been feeling like just giving up @carterclaytonb @tahtahme
I would just keep trying practice makes perfect. Just try not to stress about it. That will make things harder. Lots of skin to skin.
It annoyed me too, but it helped my daughter her first 2 weeks or so until she learned to latch! When she was done with it, I was relieved, but it was necessary for those days especially so I didn't give up. Maybe there is a WIC or LeLecheLeague around that you can see a lactation consultant at?
i went to lactation appointment for 2 weeks straight when my baby was born i wasnt making enough milk so they told me to bottle feed her and with formula now my babys too used to the bottle 😩 @carterclaytonb
Have you tried calling the hospital you gave birth at? They have lactation consultants that you can make an appointment with and some even have classes so you can get support from other Breastfeeding mothers.
thank you ladies @carterclaytonb & @tahtahme
