I don't do medications either, and have started to get anxiety really bad as my due date approaches. I wasn't even that close to her until I got pregnant, and her views are just a lot more like mine, than my parents views. Before I got close to her I looked into getting a doula. Just interview around and look for someone with the same views. Has to be someone you're comfortable with!

I wish I had someone that I was close to like that, that knew what they were doing. My boyfriend is clueless when it comes to labor & my family just isn't as supportive when it comes to me being picky! I suffer from anxiety & am petrified of taking medication. I want to do everything as natural as possible, I just don't think me saying that is enough. I've looked into hired one in my area & they cost $950 to help me with the end of my pregnancy, labor & right after. I just need to know if it's worth it. No one I know has ever hired one.

I haven't hired one, but I call a close family friend my doula, she knows my birthplan and keeps me extremely calm. Vs my mom and boyfriend freak me out lol.
