Can a doctor confuse an umbilical cord to a boys private part ?

I thought you meant once they were born

My friend had a baby like 6months ago and was told boy throughout all her ultrasounds and everything, out popped a girl. haha

@maarimar.m, yes!! It happens quite often! I have 2 boys both were very very visible right away I had a gender reveal party and I just found out I'm expecting a baby girl however when I went back for testing the sono tech told me the cord was in the way and it looked a lot like a penis I thought my dr was all the sudden my son but she flipped and her little vagina was visible again!! I was so happy lol

yes. my ultrasound the lady told me I was having a boy but then said it might had just been umbilical cord because it was between his legs... It really is a boy though and she was able to confirm a few minutes later

I would hope not. It's pretty obvious which is which. One is connected to you and the other isn't
