Helpp!!...
I am 17 will be 18 this October I am currently pregnant and due in August. I do not have a great relationship with my parents and want to leave home. Both parents smoke in the house (I do not smoke) my fiance and I have been together for going on three years with my parents approval I used to stay at his house for weeks at a time while my parents were gone over the road in a big truck. My fiance and I both live in my parents house but now we are wanting to leave due to all the second hand smoke it is harmful to not only the baby in my belly but to me and my fiance he has asthma really badly. And also due to the fact that my mom always gripes at me about how she wishes all her kids were moved out on their own and she didn't have to put up with me any more (I'm the only one left of her kids at the house) so I know she's talking about me. But every time I ask if to move out she says when your 18 you can leave and if I leave right now she says she can and will take my baby ( we have a place to go already a vehicle and my fiance has a job) Is there anything I can do? Can I leave? (I live in Kentucky) if that helps

Don't worry about what your mother says. She can call the cops all she wants, they won't make you go home and there is no way she can take away your child. And tell her that you are leaving for the health of your unborn child as well as your's and your husband health.

If you get emacapated there is nothing she can do and the worse they could do is make you return home I'm pretty sure they need a reason other than you not living with them and they would most likely have a case worker do a home check first my in laws only got my niece bc there was an open dcyf case and she took off and there was reason to believe she was in danger but I would talk with the lawyer when he writes back because I could be wrong

She CANT take your baby at all once you become pregnant you are an adult in the laws eyes and unless the law finds u to be a bad parent no one can take your baby at all you and your guy have everything going on good you leaving cause of you guys health and for your baby health you not doing nothing wrong go on and get out hun best of luck

where I live they consider you an adult once you have a child, most places won't even make you come home at 17 if you leave, she can't take your child because you move out, your baby can only be taken if you're proved to be unfit I had my first child at 17 and moved out at 16 during my pregnancy and my mom called the police and they did not make me go home because I was pregnant and at 17 she called them again and they told her I'm 17 I'm almost an adult they can't force me to go home
