Does anyone know how you get SMP? Do you just get paid the normal way from your employer or do you have to do something…

you should get 90% of your pay as long as u make more than 150 a week I think @quelle-y-chiffre but not quiet sure

I do but only for a few weeks. I think my next pay will include SMP so just checking I get it in the normal way. Thank you @leanne2016 x

Oh yeah bit confusing try to call your hr

You get 90% of your weekly wage for the first 6 weeks I think it is and then you get £139 a week or 90% of your weekly wage depending on which is lower! x

Ah yeah that's what I thought, I just didn't know if I had to claim it differently or if it will go straight into my account like my wages normally do. Thank you @emmy_lou xx

It goes straight into your account like your wages normally would and on your payslip it will have the amount of maternity pay you got that month too @quelle-y-chiffre xx
