For personal reasons---I've chose not to breastfeed. Question for all you mommies though??! Do I still need a breast pump? I know it's going to be painful when my milk comes in.?!.?!.?!.

Thank you all for the advice! I had an older female friend of mine ask me if I had bought a pump yet, and it confused me a little! Thanks again @emily18234 @mamabug ! @_stephanie.g Im not quite sure what you mean? I want to breast feed long enough for her to get the colostrum, but unfortunately I've decided to not go further with it. Again, thank you for all your input! As a first time mom, there's always going to be more to learn.

If you have no intentions of breastfeeding or pumping to use the milk then no. If you pump, you'll just be encouraging your body to produce more milk. It'll be a little painful for a bit, but it'll pass. Like @emily18234 said it's best to deal with that pain upfront.

nope. best thing is just to deal with the pain upfront. the more you drag it out the longer the pain lasts
