38 weeks today I had an appointment and it's the first time they checked my cervix. Dr said it's still high and completely closed. Is this necessarily bad? It also hurt when he checked is that normal?

Well I was only dilated 1.5 and my cervix was high. You should ask them if they can give you medicine to soften your cervix then balloons first, it worked for me. My doctor told me getting induced when your not dilated and have a high cervix isn't the best idea.
I was gonna get induced next Saturday. can u still get induced even if ur not dilated at all and ur cervix is hig? @whitneym

That took from Thursday night to Saturday afternoon when I had him 😒
@happyliz, they gave me medicine to soften my cervix then the balloons to dilate me got to 4 at like 10am my water broke then got to 9.5 at 12 when I started to push.
@happyliz, not a bad thing. Mine was high and closed at my 40 week appointment, he was 6 days late.
ugh! that sucks then next week I have another appointment :(
not sure bout the cervix question however it hurting HECK YEAH!! that's uncomfortable
