Is it true that when getting induced it causes labor to last longer and be more painful?

well I think I have no other choice now😔 I've been so active the past 2 weeks and nothing, I'm extremely exhausted. I have no sign of contractions.... I heard that pitocon makes you want an epidural. @junesmommy15

Yeah I went full term also and wanted to go natural but baby wasn't coming. The pitocin does make strong contractions.

Thank you ladies! I'm going to be 41 weeks on Tuesday and I'm probably going to get induced tomorrow. I've been holding it off because I want to go into labor naturally but nothing is working.

Pitocon is the drug most commonly used to induce and they say it causes contractions to last longer and to be stronger. Because they also use it when labor has slowed down (to strengthen it). But, I don't know if that necessarily means it's more more painful or not. Good luck!
