breastfeeding mommas question! every time my daughter drinks breast milk she poops right after an some times spits up. an my milk doesn't fill her up. so gotta supplement with stupid formula.

pooping after feeding is VERY common with newborns.
Personally, if I was making enough milk (getting the average number of dirty diapers needed a day) I would stick with nursing unless she just doesn't gain weight or you personally want to supplement. just don't let anyone pressure you to feed a certain way if you don't want to.
@chhaya, that's cute though! I try everything with her. she doesn't take a pacifier she spits it out.. I just wanna know why she wants to eat so much. :( & my fiancé freaks out because she poops every single time after she gets off my boob. like it's my fault. an he's like she doesn't like it so idk
the nurses told me I needed to because she wasn't getting enough an wanted to eat more than a breastfed baby. she's only 4 days old.. :/ @gypsy.soul2
if she want the boob but refuses to nurse, she might be using you as a pacifier. my son did that crap lol
if your baby is less than 6 days old than 2oz is enough. at day 6 is when her diaper count should increase from more than 5. a poopy diaper counts as 2 diapers. ebf babies poop a lot and sometimes go days without. she's getting enough and is probably spitting up from either hind milk mm or foremilk.. no need to supplement promise momma @destineylee96
right after she eats she still wants more..so I try giving her the boob again.. nope she refuses it. she only drinks about 1oz of formula an is full.
Spitting up and pooping doesn't mean it's not enough for her. If she's having at least 6 wet diapers a day, she's getting enough.
My LO was like that. Wanted to eat more than a normal newborn and ate every 45 minutes to hour and a half. After a day or so of breastfeeding my body produced more and she settled on a routine. She always poops while eating, sometimes to the point of it being by her shoulder blades. She's 3 1/2 months now and I've exclusively breast fed despite the nurses recommending formula supplements. She went from 7 pounds 12.5 ounces at birth to being close to 14 pounds at her 2 1/2 month checkup. Do what you are most comfortable with and do what you feel is best for her. If she doesn't gain weight then I'd say supplement but if she gains fine and has the necessary number of wets then I'd say just do the boob. But you know your baby best so go with your gut instinct...those rarely fail a mom.
