Mommy's and mommy's to be, please be addiment with your Dr's. CHD is not something that is preventable, but it is something that can be treatable! Demand more extensive testing. Early detection is key! Being aware can make all the difference.
Yeah, the thing is I told the doctor how I felt and he litterally argued with me In front of my daughter and my family so I said " well your the doctor, not me" and let him and now I just wish I stood my ground. He will pay for his mistake! He should have listened.
@mother.of.angels, I am so sorry for your loss mamma! Yes, it is our job as mothers to make sure the Dr's are doing their job correctly. My son's defect when undetected by 3 different Dr's and he almost didn't make it. I really feel as though we need to be total advocates for our children!
Oh and she passed at age 5, she already survived all her surgeries, the mistake was made during one one her heart caths, they sedated her knowing she was sick with a "cold" after I told them it was not just a cold...they didn't listen...turned out I was right and they was wrong....she actually had phnemonia and when they sedated her they couldn't ventilate her and it took her away from us......💔 wish I would have fought harder but I trusted her doctor over myself. Neverrrr againnnnn!!!!
My daughter had Hypoplastic right heart syndrome, she was supposed to live a long healthy life after her 3 stages of heart surgeries and with monitoring. But a doctor made just one mistake that took her from me...your the mom you know what best you tell the doctor everything you feel and make sure they listen to you. 🙏
