My doctor just called me and told me my insurance just canceled. Not something a type one diabetic wants to hear before going to her first doctors appointment as well as running out of insulin with no way to cover it. Worst part is that my insurances system is down and they can't tell me what's going on at this point.

what kind of insulin do you take? some can be very expensive when my husband left the Navy we had to get new insurance and the two types I was on totaled well over 700 for a month supply. my new insurance didn't cover very much of them so I had to switch...I now take humulin R which is fast acting and take 30 minutes before a meal and humulin N which is long lasting but instead of once a day I have to take it twice a day but that's ok. full price for both is about 20 or so each for a vial the humulin R might be a little more but it's not much more and depending on dosage a vial will last a month.

Oh no that's horrible to you guys have some type of low income insurance you can apply for right now? here in CA we have medi cal and it covers pregnancy 100%
