Mom.life Community Guidelines

Mom.life is a private, women-only membership community for adult women preparing for pregnancy, pregnant women, mothers, and women interested in motherhood and family life. These Guidelines form an integral part of the Mom.life User Agreement. Applying for membership or participating in the community means that you agree to follow them.

1. Community rules

1.1. Respect other people

Do not insult, bully, harass, threaten, shame, or organize attacks against another person. Do not use hostile, defamatory, discriminatory, or degrading language based on nationality, race, skin color, place of residence, appearance, age, education, religion, disability, family circumstances, or another protected or personal characteristic.

Political campaigning, discussions intended to inflame conflict about armed hostilities or religion, public arguments about private disputes, and attacks on moderation decisions are not permitted where they undermine the safety and supportive purpose of the community.

1.2. Post in the appropriate channel

Choose the channel that best matches your post. The main feed is intended primarily for parenthood, pregnancy, family health, child development, and related personal experiences. Other subjects should be posted in the relevant thematic channel where one is available.

1.3. Keep commercial posts in the classifieds area

Offers to sell goods or services may be posted only in the designated classifieds or services channel. Undisclosed advertising, repeated promotional comments, and promotional posts in the main feed or unrelated channels are prohibited.

1.4. Do not spam or manipulate activity

Do not send or publish repeated unsolicited messages, use mass following, create coordinated engagement, artificially increase likes or followers, manipulate rankings, or use automated tools to create accounts or activity.

1.5. Meet the women-only membership criteria

Ordinary membership is available only to adult women. Men are not eligible for ordinary membership and may participate only through an account individually approved by Mom.life for a verified professional role, such as a doctor, lawyer, or other specialist serving the community. An approved professional account must remain within the role and scope for which it was admitted.

Registration is an application for membership, not an automatic right of admission. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mom.life may request reasonable verification and may refuse registration or restrict, suspend, terminate, and remove from the community an account that does not meet these criteria, uses inaccurate eligibility information, or acts outside an approved professional role.

The women-only rule exists to provide privacy, safety, mutual support, and space for candid discussion of pregnancy, motherhood, women’s health, children, and family life. It is applied as a membership criterion, not as a statement that any sex is inferior. We may also restrict accounts created for unrelated or harmful purposes, including pornography, illegal trade, fraud, or commercial spam.

1.6. Protect privacy and use care with sensitive content

Do not publish private correspondence, screenshots, personal data, or content belonging to another person without the permission required by law. Obtain permission before reposting another person’s material.

Graphic medical photographs, bodily fluids, intimate material, shocking images, or similar sensitive content must not be posted in the main feed. Where such material is permitted in comments or a designated channel, provide a clear content warning and follow the available product controls.

1.7. Do not use Mom.life for illegal or dangerous activity

Accounts, posts, comments, messages, and transactions that violate applicable law or create a serious risk of harm are prohibited. This includes, without limitation:

• fraud, unlicensed financial services, money laundering, or evasion of legal controls;
• sale or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, forged documents, stolen data, or other prohibited goods and services;
• sexual exploitation, sexual services, trafficking, or any sexual content involving minors;
• instructions or encouragement for suicide, self-harm, violence, terrorism, or other dangerous conduct;
• malware, phishing, credential theft, hacking tools, or attempts to compromise accounts or devices;
• cruelty to animals, trade in protected species, or other prohibited environmental harm;
• false information intended to cause panic, endanger people, or seriously disrupt public safety;
• content that infringes privacy, copyright, trademark, or other rights.

2. Moderation

Mom.life uses moderators to review reports, monitor compliance, help resolve conflicts, and apply enforcement measures. Moderators assess context, severity, repeated behavior, risk to users, and applicable law.

Where necessary, moderators may act without prior warning or a detailed public explanation, particularly where content is illegal, dangerous, private, abusive, or likely to compromise an investigation or another person’s safety.

3. Reporting violations

Use the report control available from the three-dot menu on an account, post, comment, or other supported content. Provide enough information for the moderators to locate and understand the issue. For urgent child-safety concerns, email safety@mom.life.

4. Enforcement measures

Depending on the circumstances, Mom.life may apply one or more of the following measures:

• a warning or educational notice;
• moving content to an appropriate channel;
• removing or restricting access to content;
• limiting account or content visibility;
• temporarily restricting posting, messaging, registration, or account access;
• permanently suspending an account;
• restricting access from related accounts or devices where necessary to prevent repeated serious violations;
• preserving or disclosing information where required by applicable law.

Repeated violations may result in progressively stronger measures. A serious violation may result in immediate permanent restriction even if no earlier warning was issued.

5. Appeals

If you believe an enforcement decision was made in error, email contact@mom.life from the address associated with your account where possible. Identify the account, content, decision, and reasons for the appeal.

6. Changes to these Guidelines

We may update these Guidelines. Material changes will be communicated through the Services, by email, or by another reasonable method before they take effect where required by law.
