I grew up in Chicago an were we lived as a teen was horrible we couldn't be outside without a drive by. An I be ok with it. An now as an adult im not ok. Maybe it just that now I suffer from anxiety.🤷‍♀️ An thank you for ur service. Cant imagine how fourth of July makes u feel. Im ready to move to a farm house away from all this stuff. It's enuf crazy ppl with covid an not being able to do much. My girls playroom have all windows in the front left side of the house were the shooting happen an how I thank God that day I did dinner a lil early an they were eating in the dining room when that happened. I hit my leg pretty bad but as long as my girls an I were safe its all that matters to me.

@supergurl_82 I am a COMPLETE WRECK at 4th of July and New Years!!!! They were my favorite as a kid, but I can't even enjoy them now. So sad. Can't even set off my own without a big melt down freak out show... I posted about it at New Years and was really in bad shape for a few weeks. It sucks when you are older and become more aware of your circumstances. I pray you will find a way to move and make a safer life for you and your family. I remember being around 13, in Chicago, and our car broke down. We(my mom, sister, and I) were chased by a man who we could only assume meant harm and thankfully we found cover and he ran right by. Never lived there but was there many times as a kid and know there are some extremely bad areas. I'm so sorry!!! Incredibly happy you and your children are ok!!!

@xryztalroze dont blame u. I dont go out for new years cuz I would see how ppl around my neighborhood came out the alleys to shot in the air as a child an till this day I dont like to go out. So sorry those holidays are bad for u. 4th of July here were i live not to bad but Chicago its crazy. We went to visit my parents for the 4th an drove back home an I was a nerve wreck till we hit the Expressway. Chicago have so many dangers sorry u had to experience that. My un name from a very bad experience over their an was Call that for what I did. U do unbelievable stuff when ur in danger. My whole family in Chicago but I moved away 12 years ago an was very happy here till like maybe 4 years now its as bad as Chicago here. Time to move more north but by that their could be more racist ppl.😔 im latina but light skin an blue eyes so never have experienced racism but my dh has. An wouldn't want my girls to go thru it. Their days I cry an think in what world I brought my girls in.😔 thank yes im happy too. An glad this time my oldest was affected by it. When out house got broken into summer of 2019 my oldest was very affected it broke my heart to see her just check cameras all night. We have sensor lights out an she would tell me mommy the backyard light on but rabbits trigger them. An that bastard came back a month later an tryed the same window he broke in the first time. U know how horrible an scary that was to watch on camera how he went in the house an was inside for 10 minutes while my husband slept in the livingroom. Not even my dogs felt him. Thats why i have horrible anxiety.

Thank you trying my hardest not to fall back. But yesterday incident hit a trigger point. Im very good in faking im well when inside im falling apart.
