Someone once said that America would fall from within without a single shot being fired. Sadly, we are destroying ourselves. I swore to defend our constitution and country from enemies foreign and domestic and feel so broken right now that I cannot look in the mirror for the shame I feel reading the news today. The protesters are one thing, I can stand by a person's right to have their opinion heard, but the rioters and others who are breaking laws should be hanged regardless of political affiliation. Right is right. We have The Constitution, and with it a process, for a REASON!!! For those who dislike Pr. Trump I can understand. For those who don't agree with Mr. Biden's win I can understand. But for anyone to riot or cause harm to another because they don't like what is going on- I will NEVER understand. I didn't serve 8 years of my life for us to hurt one another or for us to fight one another. I served so we could all be proud of this beautiful country. Where has my country gone? Where is my Beautiful America? Where are the Brave, Honorable men and women??? There are good people who stand with both platforms of government but the ones who riot on both sides are bad news and do not deserve to be American. Our country has been a lighthouse of shelter and new beginnings for so many and now I fear for my first generation children(on DH's side) who will have what to inherit when they grow up? We have worked long and hard to make sure we leave a legacy for them but I fear that our country will be gone and with it the hard work we have out in before they come to the age of majority. I'm so frightened right now!!! We must pray and pray hard. Pray for friend and foe, our country, our leaders(the ones we like and the ones we don't) and we need so much to turn from our evil ways.
