Lord Jesus I'm so tired of this child peeing in the bed. I took her to the bathroom 3 times and we share a bed!!!

I have to get up extra early to bathe her again (before work) and I can't get to the laundromat till the weekend. These heavy blankets along with our other huge laundry bags are no fun carrying to the car by myself.

Y'all don't know how stressful it is.

@chocolatechild, My sister was a very heavy sleeper as a child (still is). She didn’t stay dry through the night until closer to 6yo. It’s okay to put her back in pull-ups until she’s ready to stay dry overnight. It’ll cause you a lot less stress! And I agree with @jenx about using a clean pull-up again if it wasn’t peed in.

Have her wear pull-ups or goodnites to bed or put down a pee pad where she sleeps. Good nites makes them. If she needs a drink before bed, try cutting the amount in half. A couple sips is plenty. If grandma wants to break the rules, have her pay for the pull-ups and the laundry costs. Maybe then she’ll get the hint!

Night time dryness is hormonal and can’t actually be trained. If they’re thirsty, don’t deny it. I’d put her back in some form of pull-up at night until she’s consistently dry for a month. Some kids don’t stop wetting at night until 12+. It’s normal

@chocolatechild, we used to leave a water bottle next to my oldest bed. He just recently stopped asking for it

@chocolatechild, he just decided he wanted to be a big boy 🤷🏻‍♀️. It probably had something do to with me being massively pregnant at the time

I would tell Grandma stop giving her drinks before bed. Or no more sleepover.

Oh I tried to tell her a lot of things in the past but they go way over her head. It's like a shoe being double-tied. Everything I tie, she unties it by not sticking with my plans. This is her dad's mom.

I struggled for the last two years with my son, I get it how frustrating it can be. But they truly can’t help it. I spoke to my sons pediatrician and she said it could be a number of things like being a very heavy sleeper or just his bladder not signaling his brain he needs to go yet, But just this last month he has started to do so much better and is getting up to use the bathroom so just know she will eventually grow out of it. I also suggest getting the goodnite pads or goodnite pull-ups for awhile so you don’t have so much laundry to do. If you can cut out too much drinking before bed. I hope something helps!

Do you use "pee pads"? While we were night training we used the Goodnites brand of pads. The have adhesive that sticks to the bed. It will save you doing 20 loads of laundry.

Never heard of that! I'll have to Google it. Depends on which is cheaper. Pullups or pee pads

My 5 yr old will sometimes pee at nights also. We cut all drinks off at 7 and make him pee before bedtime at 8 and he will do it a few times a month still.
You can always bring it up to her dr and they might be able to help with ideas or even get help buying overnight pull up.

Good luck

Awwwww. It is so hard especially when you have to lug all that bedding somewhere. I know you're trying everything. I just wonder if you can't have her wear overnight underwear and see how many nights she can keep it dry. Maybe her bladder needs to grow. If she went 3x and still peed the bed. Or does she.sleep really heavily?

It is frustrating and hard, for both of you. And it's a-ok to just vent. <3

@ekko oh yes for sure. Nothing wrong with reusing a dry pull up lolz. Well thanks for sharing your experience. Makes me feel better that I'm not alone on this frustration
