What was the reason for the progesterone if you don't mind me asking? I have a history of a short cervix which makes me higher risk for having a miscarriage in any future pregnancies my fertility specialist said. I have a consultation with a high risk doctor on Wednesday should I ask for that?

We've been trying for a little over a year. I just had two polyps removed on Friday from my uterine cavity and now my fertility specialist is recommending a medicated iui...I honestly hadn't looked into it though because I thought we could try to conceive naturally after the polyp removal. I'm a little discouraged about the 15% chance of becoming pregnant from it and it usually takes 3-4 cycles 😬. Those aren't great numbers

@massgirl, my fertility issues were unexplained. I’m honestly not sure why they added. If it was just as a precaution or what.
Totally understand the stress. We were planning to an IUI 3 times before moving to ivf. Thankfully for us we didn’t have to do that.
I had an hsg done and they did make us try natural for 3 months before my doctor would set up an appointment with the fertility specialist. I wish we could of gone right to the IUI I was just so stressed and it was taking a serious toll on my mental health all the disappointment month after month.

@iuiblessing2018 thank you so much! I'll ask if they have to add the progesterone or not. I don't think I would be able to handle a miscarriage after all of this. I'm going to talk about trying I guess for 3 cycles but I don't want to try forever. We want to have a baby within a year since I'm home because of covid-19 with kiddo anyway so I can return to my career.
