I thought it was habit to keep my hands warm due to lack of heat (and cold environment) growing up. Fear of freezing to death?
If I'm on my stomach, they're curled up under my chest. I got used to it due to desperately wanting to sleep on my stomach again after having both kids and having to prop myself up so my engorged boobs weren't as painfully squished.

ALWAYS pulled up to my chest. I sleep on em so often that's it's TOTALLY normal to wake up with arms that are still sleepin.
