Big supermarkets like aldi and Tesco have been asking people to turn up with ID and NI numbers and giving them jobs on the spot, and seen a lot of people confirming this

Have you tried walk in applications at the supermarkets?
I’ve applied for all the local supermarkets near me. Just started to branch out further, which is tricky with the car in the repairs garage and I imagine buses will soon stop 😓
You might be entitled to something worth checking.
