Okay let’s talk school clothes shopping, I know it’s early but I like to be prepared. 🤷🏻‍♀️

My son will be in kindergarten next year so any advice would help.

Do you buy everything in the beginning of the year in bulk? Do you buy as you go? Or do you wait for them to grow out of everything to get more?

Also, do you get a certain amount of pants, shirts, ect? 🤔

— I shop right before school starts and have to buy things throughout the year for growth spurts or clothes ripping. I don't even remember how many outfits I originally bought 😅

— I usually do about 20-30 short sleeves, 10-15 jeans, 20-30 long sleeves, 10-15 shorts, and 5-10 button down shirts, and 2-3 hoodies.

— Do your boys wear the same size?

— @momtoboys1516, Nope! My oldest is in 10-12 and my youngest is in 8

— I get plain t-shirts for school. And jeans (we aren't uniform).
I got enough for two weeks and that's it 🤷🏼‍♀️

— I get a size or two up when clothes go on sale at the end of seasons. By the time
school comes around I usually have a good stockpile. Then we let T pick out his back to school outfit.

— The sale thing is a great idea

— If my kids has clothes that fit for x season I buy what they need to add on to it. If they need a new size I buy bulk for that season. For school years same thing. If they have a bunch of clothes that fit I don’t buy new clothes just because it’s the beginning of the school year.

— I always got new clothes at the beginning of the year that’s why I wanna do it. Lol it was a tradition every year

— @momtoboys1516, if you want to do it go for it. Won’t hurt anything 😊 my kids get an outfit for the first day though.

— I get a lot more pants than anything at the beginning of the school year. At least my son gets rips on his knees. And also towards the end of the year you stop seeing long pants and more shorts so they’re harder to find. For my son it’s easier because he has a uniform. I buy his colored polos at The Children’s Place.

— I usually buy in bulk at the change of seasons. Clothes from fall/winter won’t fit them year after year so they usually need new stuff. Except what my older son wore is now my younger sons
