Idk if any of you guys took home ec. but I took it in 8th grade and one of the requirements was to take home a baby alive type of doll for the weekend. I ended up losing the key. 🤦😆🤣 What I learned was.... Babies shouldn't come with keys!!!

For me it was in high school! It wasn’t home ec it was like this early childhood class they offered. We had to have wristbands with some kind of device in the wristband. You couldn’t take it off and that’s how the baby knew it was you who picked it up instead of a family member or who else.

We had a baby made out of a bag of flour.. and we had to carry it everywhere for 2 weeks. Lmao! It was horrible!
Oh man they went old school on you guys!! Did you get to use the flour for a cooking project after?!! 😆
@scidg3, Bahahaha! I wish! It was the weirdest thing! 😂😂
Ready for this? We had to take care of... a rock. A pet fucking rock that was made into a baby. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Please tell me it was a 6lb rock?!! 😆😉
@scidg3, girl no. It was a small rock. I had to make a little nursery for it and everything. 😂😂😂😂
I didn’t but my friend did (9th or 10th tho) and we went out to eat. It had a bottle and the wrist band key, it needed the bottle when it was hungry the key for attention diaper etc. Welp my friend forgot the bottle at the restaurant and we had to go back and dig thru garbage looking for it 😭
Lol...I guess it taught us how not to lose your kids!! 🤣 We were in a restaurant and I couldn't get the wrist thing turned right and I pulled it off and when I threw it, I thought it was in the diaper bag... Well it wasn't, it was the floor and it got kicked around under some chairs. My mom left her main key at home thinking she wouldn't need it and she ended up having to call the teacher to shut it off. 🤦 We found the key shortly after but ohh myy 😳
We had to carry ours around for a week
What?!! While in school?! That would be distracting
@scidg3 yes
@scidg3 day an night and the weekend
We did the baby with the key too. Hated it
Somehow I never had to do this & im so thankful. I helped a friend with hers & I wanted to throw that thing out the window. Never wanted to throw my own kids out a window so all it taught me was always buy a doll with NO batteries 🤣
I did this in my developing child class. It didn't have a key though, it had a bottle, diaper, carseat. I had to work all weekend so I left the doll with Grandpa and he got a 30% 😂 the teacher made me take it home again the next weekend and made sure I didn't have to work, I got 100%
I was so salty that I had to do it twice for being a working doll mom 😅
Lol, your grandpa! I bet Working momlife was hard!!
@scidg3 lmao no, the dolls grandpa. My dad babysat all weekend 😅
@bodybycheetos ohhh lol Grandpa was off duty. I wonder what he didn't do to get such a low grade.
Our home ec was cooking and sewing in 8th grade!
That was 7th for us and you had to take it before you could take the 8th grade class with the baby.
We did that in high school (Early childhood development). But..... we didn't have those babies. We made rice babies! And had to parent said baby with another person in the class. That was a fun project!!!
@scidg3 here he is!!
@mississippi.queen 😆😆😆
@mississippi.queen I did as well!
The catholic school out here in 8th grade they make you watch a real baby
How does that work? Like overnight?!!!
@scidg3, at night the parents are still at home the kid just does all the work
@momofoneboy oh wow!

Oh wow they up graded!
I never had to take one home but I remember some people did. What was the key for? 😂
Literally its life line! You had to use the key before trying anything.
@scidg3, poor baby 🤣
@flamingomom It lived! The situation was a hot mess! 🤦 And here I am with 20 million kids later!! 🤣😆 All alive and I haven't forgotten them, I have forgotten things like diapers or extra clothes but they are good! 🤣
