Good news; my brother won't be staying with us anymore.
Bad news; he's quitting the job my SO bugged his boss and boss's wife to get him for a month.
More bad news;he wasn't gonna put his two weeks in. He was just not gonna show up.
Even more bad news; he only worked 3 shifts so far...
More more bad news; my SO is gonna have to deal with his boss's wife asking why he quit and why he begged her to hire him if he was gonna quit.
Reasoning; my SO and I are going on vacation this weekend and aren't able to drive my brother to and from work. Which is why I think is a reason he's quitting. Another reason..i think is because he can't be available to his girlfriend whenever she is free (she isn't making him she's awesome he's the one who drops everything once she's free) another reason? Well since we are going on vacation I told him he can use our car (we are borrowing the in laws for better gas) and he wanted to drive it to work then out of town to my mom's where he's been staying. I told him no because we forgot to pay the insurance and we are waiting until we get back to town to renew it through a cheaper place. (His work is a 3 min drive to work no stop lights or anything. Our town doesn't have cops either unless they were called)
Very annoyed at the fact we jumped through hoops to help him out and he wants to sit on his ass instead. We got him a job. We have our land Lord saving a house for him to rent (the rent is 350 a month.) And my SO was even gonna give him a truck he just got (just needs a motor. Guess who was gonna buy the motor and do all the work..lol) I'm done helping. I'm not answering my phone to any of my family. Every time we help this happens.

🙌Can't say you didn't try... Funny times family will burn you quicker then a stranger. And it's always the least you expect. I wouldn't answer to no family either shame on your brother but you know now what you've should've known then and Lesson Learned. Good riddens for him leaving your home and one less person for you to pick up after😌Can't help no one who can't help himself. Say a prayer for him and let em get on.

@diesel_jeepkj because he begged her to hire him basically when she was looking for someone. It makes it his problem because his word basically means shit when he goes and quits like that for no reason and the way he quit. When you go out of your way to put in a good word for someone and they listen to you and hire that someone then they do that then your word was shitty. He has been building up his word to people where we live for a while with giving people advice on things and whatnot and people have started taking his word for things and this is one of those times someone took his word for it and my brother just trashed that. We told him so many times if he didn't really want that job because of location he can tell us and we won't keep asking her to hire him. He bugged us and my family bugged us about him getting hired there and he decided to quit not even his 3rd shift...
My question is why would the bosses wife bug your husband? It's not his problem the brother quit. He's not the one that hired him. Besides, the brother is moving out so it is no longer y'alls problem what he does or doesn't do.
I wouldve been so happy if i had family or friends like you 2, im struggling so hard right now with finding a place and a car. Especially if its at 350 a month!!! You guys are amazing, I wish both of you and your husband luck and im sorry for that free loader :(

@mhbb3 we live on a long curvy dirt road that takes up 2 of those min in a car lol which is why we were okay with him driving our uninsured car to work and to our house only. I really think he quit because we wouldn't let him take our car out of town like he wanted. As soon as i told him he couldn't he wanted to quit the job.
smh, well hopefully he pulls it together!
This is why I stopped helping family or friends get in where I work. They don't care how their behavior reflects on anyone else.
Eta If its only a 3 min drive it cant be far to walk or bus. Why can't he do that?
