So my baby girl is only 14 months old and she is not adjusting well to her brother. She cries so much now and I don’t know what to do and she’s mean which is off because me and their dad don’t argue in front of her or even yell at her or in front of her. We’re very stern but that’s it. And now she’s says no and she’s never said that before. It’s stressing me out. Because now I have a crying toddler and a newborn who wakes up every 3 hours to eat and be changed 😰🤦🏽♀️

Agree with @modom16 ... my son started acting like that around 14 months. I’m sure having her brother around is an adjustment for her, but a lot of what you described is typical toddler behavior.

Sounds normal for a 1 year old. It’s a hard stage to deal with even without a newborn. Trust me it’s easier than dealing with a 3 year old and a newborn 😩 She is super defiant, ignores everything I say, says no all day long, refuses to eat or drink, talks back to me, runs away, cries all the time, fights sleep like crazy and demands constant attention. I guess it’s an adjustment at any age.
At 1 your toddler still thinks everything revolves around her and her needs and wants. Now you added a baby that’s taking attention away from her. So she isn’t being mean as that takes a mental process that just isn’t there at 1. She’s behaving the only way she can to get her normal baby feelings out. They change so much between 1&2 that’s there are loads of things that will seem mean or like just tantrums but it’s the mental connections forming and new thoughts and feelings coming into being that she just can’t express
@raquely, how does Elena act ?
@caiticat., right I know but her grandma was making it seem like this wasn’t normal for her because it was all of a sudden as soon as he came hone
@ek620, okay I was just worried about her not being adjusted
That's normal she's still a baby to.

@modom16, you think so ? It has nothing to do with her brother ?
Sounds like a typical 1 year old
