Im a paramedic and lift people daily. My average patient is 200lbs. My doctor does not have me on any restrictions and did not with my son either. I even went into labor at 39 weeks 4 days with my son while at work lol

My doctor explained the whole lifting thing to me. Lifting heavy stuff won't necessarily hurt the baby, but because your body is filled with hormones, your joints are more prone to strain. Lifting stuff every once in a while won't hurt, but be careful and try to avoid lifting anything over 20 pounds. And head to the ER if any cramping or bleeding occurs.

Babies are tougher than you think and our bodies do a great job protecting them. That being said, I really don't think you should be lifting things that heavy. Next time I strongly suggest asking for help or waiting till someone else can do it for you. No reason to take unnecessary risks. But don't worry unless you're cramping or bleeding. Stressing isn't good for baby either...
