Holy crap, where do I begin....

My entire pregnancy with my twins is unforgettable but, I think my top mom moment would be finding out that I was having twins.

What most of you guys don't know is that we did not conceive them naturally. That's why this second pregnancy is such a huge deal for me because I actually got pregnant on my own this time.

Anyway, my husband and I had fertility issues and had been trying for a year to conceive. It was possible to get pregnant but not easy. So we decided that ivf would be a good move for us. Through that, we managed to get pregnant on the first try. Well, at the first trimester, we only saw 1 baby and 1 sac. So obviously we're expecting 1 child. By that time I'd had it in my head that I would have my 1 baby and it would be perfect. You know, with 1 baby it's hard for sure but there is this undeniable bond that you will forever have because their your first and you get to focus on them totally. That's what I wanted. So I was content and everything just sort of breezed by up until 17 weeks.

Then we went for our 2nd ultrasound and my husband and I were anxious to find out the sex of the baby. Well....our ultrasound technician says "there's 2 heartbeats". It is SO hard to describe my feelings at that moment. It's one thing to know you're having twins from the start but to only expect 1 baby and then all of a sudden, there's another little soul that you never knew about living inside of you. All I can say is that it is absolutely amazing how love works. I thought I only had enough love for 1 new little person. And in an instant, almost like magic, I fell in love with my 2nd tiny human. This overwhelming wave of emotions hit both me and my husband and we could not stop crying. Then the lady told us it was a boy and a girl and it was just...perfect. To this day, I can't quite describe how much I love them but I like to tell my husband that my love for them is like "magic"; undeniably and overwhelmingly powerful.
