Ive had two of them in Florida... they were mostly just expensive... the upkeep isnt hard at all IF you stay on it. Once a pool is green it's a pain to get back to blue.
Lastly... there's 3 whole other seasons where you dont get to use the pool but it is year round upkeep... especially for the filter etc.
