If you do use it make sure the baby is never chin to chest. It can lean to the side. Also, the lady on the carseat lady website is carseat safety certified and up to date so if anyone needs more info go there

Right thats my fear @jessyleigh because that got to be uncomfortable your neck being bent like that that's why i got that insert

This is how he slept with the insert that came with the carsest. Looks uncomfortable and was scared how bent his neck was would make his airway close

@proudmommy_0320, ik I didn't get it either. I put it back in the next day. Cuz my baby slept weird without it

Ik our hospital wouldn't let you leave with added inserts but my sister allowed it lol.

True @kellyl22 I would think that it would hurt them but they been in all kinds of positions in the womb so it probably don't phase them

Oh okay @kellyl22 because when I had my daughter I didnt have a insert in the carseat and it looked like her neck was about to break lol like literally

You can go read the tips on the carseat lady website in the tips for newborn article. It basically says most inserts have more padding behind their head and can make their head fall forward. It says it's perfectly fine for their head to go to the side and to make sure the seat is reclined correctly to keep their head from falling forward

Newborns have no control over their necks.

Dang why? @kellyl22 you got to have something to keep they head in place especially newborns

Be careful. The recommendation right now is to never use anything in the carseat that didn't come with it
