ladies how would you feel letting your baby spend the night at your mother in law's house for the weekend? my bf is acting like I'm the bad guy for telling him no that his mom can't keep him for the weekend. I have many reasons why I don't want her to but my main reason is because how am I supposed to feel as a mother not having my son here with me when I get home from work. my son barely even likes being at his grandmas house (mil). I don't feel comfortable knowing that when he realizes me or his dad aren't around he'll be crying for us. and my bf is acting as its no big deal. am I in the wrong here?

all you ladies have a point. but I compromised with my bf because I feel like it hurt his feelings. I think he thinks I don't trust his mom so I gave in and said yes. but it's not til next weekend she wants him. I told him she can have him only on Saturday but that come Sunday I will be picking up my son. and he was OK with that. thanks again ladies.

I haven't left my son with my mother in law or anyone at all, there's no reasons but i have an anxiety if I'm away from him for too long.
I've left my son at my mother in laws a few times cause I needed a break. my boyfriend lives with his mom atm so his dad will still there to be with him too but I ended up missing him after 2 hours. it felt good after being with baby 247 while his dad works and everyone works but if their willing to even have him for a night I'd take the offer.

nope you are definitely not in the wrong. I broke down when I visited my family down in Kentucky this past weekend and let my sister keep my daughter one night. but she was perfectly happy and I knew she was in great hands! I felt guilty but I knew how bad my sister wanted to keep her. but if your child will miss you guys too much, I wouldn't make him go. he won't remember in the long run but if my daughter was ever crying for me, I know I wouldn't be able to leave without her. good luck mama!
