ATTN preemie moms! :) do you go by your baby's actual birth date or do you go by their corrected age?

Milestones are usually by adjusted/corrected age, but I go by actual age.

My daughter was born 5weeks early. We've gone by the day she was born. She's hit every mile stone and actually crawled earlier than some of my friends babies that were born on time. But that just proved that every baby hits milestones at a different pace regardless of when they were born. Don't stress yourself out on these milestones. Your baby will be and should be caught up by the age of 12-18months i was told and some preemies don't have any delays like my daughter! I used to compare my baby to other babies and it would drive me crazy. But I was worrying for nothing because she was on time or ahead on every mile stone and it was emotionally draining me for no reason

@savvylynn1 reason why I ask is because my baby is two months premature, and took a while to catch up developmentally. He is almost three months, but is the size of a newborn. I was researching and wondering if my preemie will hit milestones as the same as a newborn if he was two months early.

I'm not a preemie mom but I would assume you go by the date they were born. just like any other baby. I was 4 weeks early and still went by the day I was born. that's their birthday
