I'm not sure if at my next appointment (I'll be 34 weeks) if I should request to see if I'm dilated or not. My doctor doesn't check at all unless someone requests it.

it's really too early for that. they normally don't need to check until 36 weeks. especially if you havnt had consistent contractions.
