If you guys aren't moving for beneficial reasons like a good job or something then I say don't move at least not yet I moved from NY TO NJ for 2 years and I hated it I felt like I was going to die it caused so many problems in my marriage because I miss my family . And NY & NJ are neighboring states. So imagine if I would of moved across country oh hell no but this just my experience and my opinion if u can handle it then I guess go right ahead.

The good thing about moving far away nowadays is there is Skype and FaceTime and so your mom can check in anytime she wants. You gotta plant your own roots with your own family, your extended family will understand that because everyone does it :)

@angelao777, that's what my boyfriend says. That it's now us and it's time to focus on our own family and I agree. He wants to move from jersey to Colorado which I wouldn't mind. It's just I also have my mom in my ear like "your really gonna leave us all?" "You're gonna take my grandson away". Anything my boyfriend and I want to do with our family she has something to say

I moved from PA to VA. My mom luckily moved down here too a few years later but I did ok. I feel bad my family missed out on some important times in my life and I still miss all my family and friends up there, but I also am happy where I am now and focus on the family I built with my husband.
