Yes depends on how much they start out as, gain, and also the brand of clothing because my daughter (11 months) mostly wears 18 month but can also fit some of her old 9 month stuff and some 2T clothing as well 😱 she was 19lbs 8oz and 28.5 inches at her 9 month appointment, dunno what she is now but I know she has grown in the last 2 months lol when she was born she was only 7lbs 7oz, the lost almost a full pound in the first 3 days until my milk came in, and was 6lbd 13oz, then rapidly gained it all back and was 9lbs 8oz by her 1 month appointment, and 12lbs by 2 months 😲😲😲😲 so by 1 month I believe she was in 0-3 and 3 month sizes, and by 2 months she was in 3 and 3-6 months...by 4 months she was in 6 and 6-9 month, then stayed in those a bit til 6 months and by 6 months she was in 6-9 and 9 month sizes, and so on...she has always been in about the 80+ percentiles with height and weight so she has been big but not huge lol mostly pretty tall and she has thunder thighs so shorts, pants and footy pajamas always have to be (at least) one size larger than her onesies...same reason she was in size 4 diapers by 8 months LOL

My daughter is still in newborns and she is 5 weeks old. It just depends on their size. When she was born she was 6 lbs 5oz and skinny & newborn clothes were a little big. Now she actually fits in them and she has only gained a pound at her 1 month check.

Depends on your baby's size and how much they grow that first month:) Lucas was transitioning from newborns to 0-3 at 5-6 weeks
