I just had my first membrane sweep today. I'm 39 &4 days. My cervix is still closed and im not dilated . They have me scheduled for being induced on July 16 I'll be 41 weeks. So it all depends on if you're making any progress on your own

My doctor did a membrane sweep just before I hit 38 weeks. I think I was 37 & 5 days or something. It didn't send me in to labor though & I ended up being induced at 39 weeks, but it just depends on the doctors. Most will if you ask I believe

@abw716, my doctor told me its best to wait until your 39 weeks, when the baby most likely wont be breached and is ready to enter the world so the sweep can do its thing before hand.

My baby has been dropped , head down and in birthing position for 3 weeks now. Hopefully they can do it. I'm completely thinned out and 2cm already @babymaciesmomma

They might, it depends on the position of the baby too. At 40 weeks Macies head was still too far up so she couldn't even reach to do a sweep for me. And 5 days later she dropped and I got a sweep.
