What I can not stand is a parent who feels like being a parent just consist of buying your child expensive things or needs to post about everything they purchase for their child. Looking for approval from people over social media. Don't get me wrong I buy my child expensive things as well but I also educate her, I buy her books, I instill things into her. I boost about her milestones and her achievements over what I get her. As a parent we obviously have to support our children financially. Certain people just want a pat on the back for something that they should be doing no matter what.

I'm 17weeks and haven't even posted on Facebook. I hate it when people fish for compliments and stuff like that

@amaperalta03, exactly.. It's about more than that. So many of those poor kids probably haven't had a story read to them never mind a book bought for them. They got on designer clothes and shoes but getting neglected in so many other ways ☹️

Agreed. I'm all about getting it if you can afford it. But so often I see so many kids in $200 sneakers and $300 outfits IN SOMEONE ELSES HOUSE while their mother is in a club somewhere. Smh.

There's really no sense in buying a few expensive things that the LO is just gonna grow out of. Hand-me-downs and thrift-shopping is fine with me. Babes don't know the difference
