Hey Mamas! I don't want to create a dilemma here! But did you girls see the kid that feel into a gorilla cage? I want to make it clear I don't ever think that an animal life should ever come before a child! Killing the gorilla seems the safest thing to do! BUT could this whole thing been avoid? How much the parents are in fault?
All I am saying is we have to be responsible for our kids decisions and action! Lately I have seen a lot of bad parenting videos out there!
So wait when a CHILD tells u i am gonna jump over the fence!! The mom bowls down and says ok??
Are we really this generation mommies? Are raising our kids believing that they should and can do whatever they want?
Is it really ok not to be firm and teach them BETTER?
My heart stopped watching the video! The mom screams and says mommy loves you!really??????? I am sure we all love our babies but sometimes saying NO is also an act of love! Thank God the child is safe... This could have been much much worse! 😔😖😠

I havent seen it personally however my question is exactly that... how did the gorilla get a. hands to even do that?! not fair for the. hold NOR the gorilla who lost it's life! we cant have WILD ANIMALS in containment and expect they're not going to act like wild animal! how dumb that parent should know the potential danger and as I've heard the child climbed a fense?! the fense is there for a REASON! wth was theparebt thinking hello?!?!?! I'm feeling like that gorilla lost it's life for nothing because it did nothing accept be a gorilla and the parent was completely at fault here. sorry end of rant.

@cfernandar24, I watched the video from a few different angles and no matter how I see it, that gorilla was not harming the boy. Of course he was screaming and crying because he was scared and ya he did have some minor scrapes and injuries but I do not believe that gorilla did anything to him on purpose. The injuries they claim he had could have been from jumping or falling into the exhibit initially before the gorilla even touched him anyway. I just think the whole thing is such bullshit. That mom should have her kid taken away from her and the gorilla should have been rewarded.

@kimberkatherine, u know my husband said the same thing!! He said its so sad to see the poor animal paying for our mistakes! It really looked that the gorilla was doing a better job taking care of that kid then his own mother! Then we say we are racional and animals don't know any better! No joke sometimes I feel like my cat is smarter then my neighbors! 😂

@cfernandar24, You're not the only one. I see it in person too, I'm not about judging other parents but some parents are extremely irresponsible. Even in my house I always keep my eye on my daughter. Parents in public let their kids do whatever and run off

@keepingupwithestella, I agree. An innocent animal had to die and a kid went through a traumatizing experience because of an irresponsible parent.

@karennn, u know lately I have seen so many bad parenting videos its overwhelming!!! I am scared to raise my child! Its almost like everything I believe its wrong! It's just sad that an animal was collateral for human negligence, when the poor thing really didn't do anything he knew as wrong. At parts of the video he did look like he was protecting the boy but then he took off running and dragging him through the water, which I personally think was him acting out of fear.. It's just an upsetting situation all around and it left a beautiful animal dead and a 4 year old probably severely traumatized. @karennn @cfernandar24

and the gorilla absolutely should not have been killed. If it had been a group of chimpanzees or a very violent animal I could see killing it, but the gorilla wasn't doing anything. He tried to pick the boy up.

It was totally the mom's fault. That gorilla wasn't harming that boy either. If he wanted to hurt that child, he would have done it immediately. Gorillas have strong paternal instincts and that gorillas was trying to keep that boy safe.

I understand they had to kill the Gorilla for that baby's life but I agree, It's totally the parents fault. In my opinion the parents should get charged. How can you possibly let your child alone enough to fall in with the gorilla?. I read some where that she said she had other kids, Well she shouldn't be having a lot of kids if she can't take care of them all, OR don't go to a zoo or public places if you can't watch them all at the same time. If he fell in to the exhibit that easy, some one could of easily kidnapped him as well. Imagine how scare that little boy was. Thank God he's okay

@keepingupwithestella, I agree! How much time this little kid had to climb? Without no parent intervention?? I heard that the boy asked if he could do it so! I don't know if its true!!! But if he did his parents should walk out there arrested from neglect.. WTF..😤😤😤

Personally, I think the parents are completely at fault for not watching their child. Like what could they have been doing long enough that their child could climb over a fence and fall into the exhibit? And if it was my child, my ass would have been over that fence to protect my baby.
