@jackscatss, yep it should! they usually say work or school either way you'll be gone for more than 2 hrs at a time away from baby and need to pump so yeah :)

they gave me one after I gave birth but it's just the handpump (harmony by medela). it works for me just fine cause my insurance covered an electric basic model one but wic you do have to prove that you'll be returning to a job that you'll be working 15+ hrs or something. they call to verify w your employer.

From what they told me its when you go back to work and depending on how soon and how many hours will decide which kind of pump you will get.

I think different states vary. Here your doctor has to write you a rx for one and medicaid covers it

if you dont they just give you a.manual breast pump. also they give you electric if your baby is in the nicu

you have to tell them your going to breastfeed and you go in after you have your baby and let them know you gave birth and they will give you one
