Hi y'all I'm writing to get some prayers for my sweet Elliot, he's been having diarrhea for the past 2 weeks. His doctor ordered a stool sample and one of the tests came back with an elevated amount of fat in his stool. His doctor is now ordering a test for cystic fibrosis. I'm a wreck right now at the thought that he might have that. We could really use some prayers right now that it's not that disease. Thank you❤️

I bet! When I found out I carried it I was crying so much and didn't feel better until it came back my fiancé doesn't carry it. Hope you get good results soon!!
Thanks girl💕 I was a wreck earlier, and still thinking about it now makes me tear up. Hopefully he just has a really sensitive tummy @mamesey
And even if you both carry it, it's only a 25% chance your baby would have the disease. (Hoping all these odds are easing your mind💕)
If the genetic testing came back fine then it's not cystic fibrosis. Unless there was an error with the testing which is very uncommon. When I found out I carries cystic fibrosis, they had me take my fiancé to a genetic specialist and we talked about it a lot and he got tested to see if he carried it too(he doesn't). The specialist said it's super rare and it was a 4% chance that someone even carries it. So for both parents to carry it is a very slim chance. (Possible but not likely) hoping this helps :) i'm praying your little one is okay. The only way your little one has it is if you AND your husband carry it. And since your genetic testing came back clear I'm sure your baby is fine :) just try and relax. I know it's hard 💕
Thank you for easing my mind a bit! We did do the genetic testing and they told us everything was negative. We also never heard anything back from the newborn screen. Praying that it's not this, and that it's something else that's easily curable!@mamesey

Good news is that you AND your husband would have to carry it in order for your little one to have it and it's a very rare disease to carry. So the chances are slim that you both do❤️ hoping that gives you comfort during this waiting game
They should've caught that you carry CF in your pregnancy blood screening. I found out I carry cystic fibrosis in my pregnancy from the blood test they do. So hopefully that's not it! I would think its not if your OB never said you carry it. I'll be praying for you and your baby❤️
