@camdens_mommy, I guess it's a gift dad's give the new mom as a thank you for carrying the baby. Usually it's the baby's birthstone but he couldn't find emeralds that he liked. I didn't know about that tradition until my baby shower and people kept asking my husband if he was getting me something.
