So my parents and my siblings all want to be there for the delivery of my baby, but they're in DC and I'm in Florida. And there is no way for me to know when the baby is coming, and whenever he does decide to come, I'm sure they won't make it down in time. My boyfriends family is here in Florida but I don't get along with them and they are not welcome to come. Is it wrong to ask if I'm able to be induce at 38 or 39 weeks for convenience? I know how important it is for my family to be there, and I don't want them to miss it. Having the baby in DC isn't an option.

I know that this is something that I asked about too. My Drs talked about inducing me for a c-section because my baby is measuring big. I asked if there was a way to induce a vaginal delivery and they told me no. I am delivering at FL hospital Orlando.

I was very patient until I started watching labor and delivery videos yesterday and saw so many women give birth in under 10 hours. My dad and siblings will be flying, only if I get to the hospital and labor has really professed. Otherwise they will drive for comfort. My dad refuses to let my mom come with them and she's afraid to fly, so she'll be taking the bus. @nicole_jude
Labor is a long process. My mom lives near you and I live in Louisville, KY. I called her when I went into labor and she made it in time for the birth! She had a bag packed and all ready to go. All she needed was for me to tell her when I started! Will they be driving? Flying?
They will only let you induce if there is medically something wrong. I mean, at least most doctors won't. I live in California and my family all lived in Illinois at the time. My sister flew out, I missed my due date, and he day she flew back him to Illinois I finally went into labor. It's just the luck of it all.
