It really jus depends on the baby skin. It's usually not even needed. I used baby soap with my son until it ran out, then jus mixed it with the regular load, he was fine. I got a small bottle of it with this pregnancy but after its gone I'll use regular soap.

I've read not to use fabric softener. I would just do a second rinse with plain water

@krstokes2016, I washed my sons stuff in baby laundry soap for a few months then just threw it in the regular wash. Just make sure when she gets here see if she has any allergic reactions if you continue to do it that way.

yes, usually if you don't have any issues with the soap neither will baby. I use regular laundry soap with my son and he does fine.
