Mommies, how many of you put a onsie under your babies sleeper? My son over heats very easily so when I know he's going to be in his car seat with his blanket and car seat cover I don't put onsies under his sleeper. Well I brought him over to my mom's and she changed his diaper and said "I'm surprised you don't have a onsie on him, why not?" I told her he gets way too hot and sweaty and she says "well the onsie "wicks" away moisture."..... I'm thinking sure but when sweat is pouring out of you, your shirt doesn't "wick" it away, you end up drenched! Ok rant done lol!

Lol @lilyandkaidynsmommy probably! I'm in Minnesota where 6 months out of the year the temp is anywhere from 40° to -40°
Oh lol well it's always hot where I live so that's probably why I've never heard it lol
@lilyandkaidynsmommy, I guess it's for comfort/warmth kind of how some people wear undershirts
I've never heard of doing that why would you?
I dont bc my son over heats fast i keep him in one layer in less i know im going to be getting him in n out of a house or car. But i hav a sweater for him
Being to hot when they sleep can be worse than being cold. It ups the risk of SIDS. If you know your baby is hot natured you're doing the right thing
I always put a onesie under sleepers, but I definitely wouldn't if I thought my baby was too hot. Do what you think is best!
only if it's cold. my son is very hot natured and I never put one under his sleeper he would be drenched when he woke up.
I've never put a onsie under any of my kids sleepers. I always kept it at a good temp in my house and when we were out I'd put a cover blanket over the car seat and have some blankets with me as well.
What temperature do you keep the room at? I'm paranoid about getting the temperature just right after she's born. I'm so afraid I might over dress/ under dress her with a onesie and sleeper, and her not cry to let me know she's too hot/cold when I'm asleep.
I only put a onesie on under her sleeper if I think it's gonna be cold at night otherwise I don't
