A nurse practitioner is a further educated RN. Who is able to write a lot of prescriptions, perform PAPS. They can work emergency deptartments but need access to a physician on call. So.... Basically they have some med prescriptions they can't write and cannot be the attending severe emergencies in ER dept.

yea I think they can give medical advise and I know they can give you any immunisations. they just can't write prescriptions.

Pretty sure it's a nurse going to school to become a doctor. They are basically doctors as far as I know.
