What are your thoughts? Just needed to clear my mind..
I'm due in October and we are flying home in August for a baby shower. When I mentioned to my family about having one before my mom got all mad because she felt like my aunt (her brothers wife) was taking over. This was probably in March. Now in June my mom still hasn't made any attempt to talk to my aunt & gma whose supposed to be helping her. I have a group fb chat that I send ideas to & keep in touch with what's going on because I'm in Italy so I really can't do much which I know in not supposed too.
Well my mom blew up the other day about how she doesn't want anything to do with it because no one is letting her plan it.. Now my moms the kind of person where she will make promises and NEVER follows through so that's why i had other people helping so it isn't a total fail. Then outta nowhere she says she is pregnant with twins!?!
My moms 41 years old has lupus and diabetes.. I love her to death but honestly I don't even know what to feel. She's had four miscarriages before except me. She told me that she was maybe about 3 or 4 months along but didn't tell anyone because the dr said she had a slim chance of carrying full term. I feel bad because I know this will crush my mom.
The worst part about is that my gma and I don't even know now if she's telling the truth! She told my gma that she was due around sept/oct (just like me) and that she can feel the babies but apparently hasn't gone to the dr so she doesn't actually know if she has twins, one or none.. My mom also started telling my gma things she wanted for the babies that my gma already said she would make me for mine. Her stories don't match up and it makes me mad that she could be lying about this. My mom likes attention and things to be about her. She hates my husband because he's in the military and we live in Italy. When she was married to my dad he was in the military but their marriage failed.
Am I wrong to feel so confused? I don't even know what to say to her. She can't raise any kids. She said she didn't have time to plan a baby shower because she works 14 hr days sooo how can you take care of a child!? IF theses babies are real I fear they won't survive in my moms home. I lived there my whole life and could count multiple times where our house was almost condemned, power or water was turned off for months, mold growing, and just so much more. I seriously feel like I could go on dr Phil lol
