I'm tired of the fact that I have to constantly hide from the world because I'm pregnant. I get it that I'm 19years old. I get it that the baby wasn't planned. but excuse me, it happened and neither my son nor I should be ostracised because of it. I have my own place to live. my boyfriend and I are still together. I have my own car. I work 25+hours a week. I pay my own bills and when my son is two months old, I'm going back to school. yet somehow that isn't good enough. my parents know I'm pregnant, but the rest of my family does not. only certain people on my mans side know as well. I've lost all but one friend ever since I found out I was having a baby. I was not allowed to attend my man and my own sisters graduation from highschool or attend any of their sporting/school events. its gotten real annoying getting stared at from strangers and having strangers approach me and ask, "aren't you too young to be pregnant?" I love my son so much already and can't wait to meet him but geez I'm tired of being treated this way

well honestly gorl thats not her decision. im a ftm too and im 20 but i know ill make a damn good mom and anyone who wants to say otherwise can walk right out the door. i dont put up with bs from anyone. i dont need that stress. i know its your mom but you need to tell her to mind her business. just because she seems to be ashamed doesnt mean you are or should be. i was scared to tell my grandmother but when i told her she cryed she was so happy. yes not everyone is that positive but thats for you to handle. its not like your a child in highschool. and its all instinct i havnt had children but ive babysat all my life and it just comes natural. what your child needs is of course the basics food and hygiene but to me most importantly they need love and support. they dont need a million toys or high tech baby gagets. so just focus on that and im sure youll be a wonderful mother

@babymoma true! I guess its easier to hide with him still inside than having him on the outside. the excuse is I'm "working" whenever someone asks where I am or why I didn't attend my sisters graduation. truth: I sat home on graduation day because I didn't have to work and cried. you only graduate from highschool once. I feel as if its a punishment from the world because I'm going to be a young mom. its crap that my little cousin is turning 7 in a few weeks and my mom was talking about his party today but I'm not allowed to go because the family doesn't know I'm pregnant and she doesn't want to start WWV. @babymama1015 thank you dear. I think I have my head on straight with everything, but at times it feels as if my head is no longer attached to my body. I give so many props and credit to teen moms. its hard when it seems as if the world is against you and just waiting for the day we fail. @ftm15 thank you! I hope I'll be a good mom. that's a huge huge fear of mine. it helps that I'll have my man and my parents around but I'm scared that I won't be able to give my little man everything he needs. but I mean I have a Yorkie Terrier/Shih Zu for a dog and I bought some onesies just for her so I could practice putting them on along with diapers lmao.

I'm 17 but nobody has had the balls to say something about age to me. I've been on my own since I was 15, I'm more mature then some 30 year old people. Age doesn't decide how well you can parent. Be proud and walk with your head high. Who cares if people wanna hate? I have my own house, car, fiancé, and life well planned out.

@tnegron87 I'm doing everything I possibly can for my little family. its getting harder and harder to work some days but I push my body out of bed for my son. my parents help me out some but 90% of what my son has is from the money I've earned. @squizzy843 thats a good comeback! I like it :) @phasion I'm trying my best every single day. some days are harder than others. it just hurts sometimes knowing that all because I'm having a baby people have to treat me differently than they did

@jestera90 very true. I just feel bad sometimes when I can't support my man or sister. or how when my uncle comes over and helps my dad work on my grandmas condo, I can't be around. my little cousin is turning 7 in a few weeks and I bet I won't be able to go to his party

That's crazy because you have some people in their 30s who having babies and don't even take care of them yet along doing everything you're doing for yours. Smh it's sad

Honestly people going to talk no matter what. The next time someone say to you "aren't you to young to be having a baby" tell them... Well how old do you think I am since you know so much. Don't stress it. It will be fine.

People really need to mind their business. As long as you are supporting your child financially and being there no one should have anything to say. Things happen in life. It will make you a better person for it.
