If baby isn't jaundiced I would say wake him them up at 2-3 hours until you reach birth weight and then about every 3-4 hours is reasonable. But discuss it with you doctor because every baby is different and needs to be fed on their own schedule :)

You're supposed to wake them every 2 hours at least until they regain their birth weight

I would say make the best judgements I don't think the baby should go like 8 hours without eating that early, my daughter is almost 4 months and depends on the night, lay night was a great night we slept from 11pm to 7am, and she ate and went back to sleep until noon, she usually has one long stretch then the rest probably 3 hours,

When Tannon was just a few weeks he'd wake up like every 4 hours. I never felt the need to wake him up because he was over 9 pounds at birth only dropped 2 oz in the hospital and gained birth weight back plus an additional 5 oz before he was even 1 week old. And I was told I didn't really need to wake him once he gained back his weight and since he gained more then his birth weight I didn't feel like I had to wake him up. Plus I wanted to nap to!

Girl my son is so unpredictable lmao. He is 2 months I'm lucky if I get 4hrs but most nights he's getting up every 2-3hrs. He needs cereal! @sexii_diiva

It depends on how old they are whether you should wake them up or let them wale themselves up
