@helpedbytmh well the office I'm going to that has the ultrasound equipment my doctor is only there on Wednesdays. and I have my checkup right after my ultrasound.

can u change ur appt to a weekend date?

I know it hurts. I did everything by myself except I forced him to come to the first appointment and the last ultrasound and I literally had to scream at him to come to that one and he went to work while I was in labor. And went home 3 hours after the birth. You're not over reacting but I think you do just gotta find a way to be okay with it cause you clearly can't change it

@californiahaley his mom won't be there because its "too far of a drive" I just think its so stupid. this is the biggest thing besides the actual birth. this is our first child together. if it was a normal checkup his ass would remain in school. but its not. I don't know if I'm overreacting but it just hurts

If it makes you feel better my husband wasn't there either. He was out of state for work. And it took over an hour to get ahold of him. My mother in law went with me and I ended up telling his brother before him because he answered first.

@chhaya that's a good idea. I just wish he could be there with me. I've been looking forward to this and so has he and its like no one cares

@elliot.s he cant. according to the school he's been absent too much and if he misses one more day he's at risk of not receiving his diploma on time

I know it's not the same but you can ask the ultrasound tech to take a picture of the gender and put it in an envelope or something (you look away when she does this) and you and your man can open it together at a later point
